Are you an international student interested in Christian faith or seeking Christian Fellowship? We are here for you! You are welcome in all our events. Everything we do is free of charge.

At The Spring – IFES Oulu’s Autumn camp & IFES Oulu 60th-anniversary

Come and enjoy Christian fellowship! A mission-themed autumn camp will be held at Kellonkartano from Friday, October 9th to Sunday, October 11th. You can also participate in the camp partially. Saturday’s program is open to everyone: we will join the International Day for the Unreached (IDU) event remotely and hear Jussi Miettinen teach about a generation on fire for Jesus. The camp’s closing communion service on Sunday, October 11th at 1:00 PM will serve as the opening service for Oulu OPKO’s 60th-anniversary celebration. After the service, birthday coffee will be served, followed by the anniversary program.

Bible Studying Buddies

Fridays at 17 – 19, St. Luke’s Chapel, Yliopistokatu 7

New in faith or just curious? You are welcome! We gather every Friday to read and study the Bible. Every last Friday of the Month we have a person with theological education to teach us. The Buddies have their own whatsapp-group. To join it, contact the student worker Tanja. This event is in English and it’s an collaboration with many local christian bodies.

OPKO-evenings

Saturdays at 18.30 – 22.15, Tuira Church, Myllytie 5 (Door B) 

These evenings are about Bible lessons, prayer and free time with evening snack. The main language we use is Finnish, but we can translate the lessons into English. You will also find English speaking friends for workshops and free time.

Campus Hangout

Mondays at 14 – 16, Tellus Avenue, Erkki Koiso-Kanttilan katu 1 THE HANGOUT IS CURRENTLY ON A SUMMER BREAK AND WILL CONTINUE SEP 14TH

Relaxed hangout with free hot drinks, friends, and latest news about christian life in Oulu. This is a good place to make new friends, both Finnish and international. You find us in the lobby area of Tellus.

Floor ball

Mondays at 17 – 18, Pöllökankaan koulu, Kuovitie 13.

You have to sign up for this activity via it’s own whatsapp group. Ask for the student worker Tanja to add you into it. If you are a newcomer and don’t have your own equipment, you can usually borrow them from some other player. For location information, see here.

Do you wish for more or want to serve?

We are always open for new ideas! And we are happy if you wish to serve in some occasion, maybe by singin, playing music or leading a prayer or by anything you feel like you would like to do. Contact the student worker Tanja to tell what you have in mind.

• Prayer room 24/7 in Tuira Church Wed 10/7/2026 – Thu 10/8/2026. We prepare for the Christ Day, take part in world wide prayer day for students and bless the upcoming Autumn Camp.
• Autumn Camp in Kellonkartano Fri 10/9/2026 – Sun 10/11/2026. More info coming on September.
• IFES Oulu 60 years celebration in Kellonkartano Sun 10/11/2026. Communion Service at 1 pm, which is followed by celebrations.
• Christ Day 4/3/2027. Co-operation with several christian bodies. More info coming up later.
